This One Grain of Sand
Leti Diaz
Lord, here I am a grain of sand in the sea of humanity.

The ocean is so vast, yet you see me; El Roi, the God who sees.
Here I’m standing on the sand, such a huge amount, millions, billions, trillions,
zillions too many to count and yet you see this one grain of sand.

Your perfect light shines through my veins and shines the light of your love, so soft and lovely as a white dove.

You created this daughter for your pleasure, bestowed gifts that you gave to no other.
You placed in me your love, the love of a father, who adores this one grain of sand, your daughter.
When life is tough you are there holding my hand guiding me through. Though I couldn’t see the trail, your nudging carried me through.
You have a plan written in the sand; the waters may wash it away, but it’s ingrained in your hand, the blood-stained map nailed to the cross many years past.
I’ll hold your hand and I won’t let go, I feel your love that’s holding me close and guiding me through.
“That heavenly place where you want to be, is not now,
for I have much for you to do."
Signed - Your Heavenly Father
Lord, You take pleasure in this tiny treasure, this one grain of sand.
